Is the Free plan really free?
Yes — no credit card required. Guests can upload from 7 days before your event until 7 days after it, and downloads stay available for 14 days after the event. Free events include up to 100 photos; video uploads start with Starter.
Can I upgrade my event after it's already started?
Absolutely. You can upgrade from Free to Starter, or from Starter to Plus, at any point before the event closes. Any content already uploaded carries over — nothing is lost.
Do my guests need to pay or download an app?
Never. Guests scan a QR code and upload directly from their phone browser — no app, no account, no cost to them. You pay once; they share freely.
How long can I download my event media?
Downloads stay available for 14 days on Free, 90 days on Starter and 365 days on Plus, counted from the event. That is separate from the guest upload window, which is how long guests can keep adding photos and videos.
What does the upload window mean?
The upload window is when guests can add photos and videos. On Starter, uploads open 7 days before the event and close 1 month after. On Plus, uploads stay open 7 days before through 3 months after — useful for late-arriving uploads and post-event contributions.
What does "fair use" mean for unlimited uploads on Plus?
Unlimited means we don't cut guests off or charge per photo. Fair use simply means the Plus plan is intended for a single event — not for bulk archival of unrelated content. For the vast majority of events, you'll never hit any limit.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover) via Stripe. All payments are processed securely — HiveMoments never stores your card details.
Do you offer refunds?
Per-event plans are eligible for a refund if requested before the event upload window opens. Once guests have begun uploading, the event is considered active and refunds are not available. See our Refund Policy for full details.
